From appearances, a British Intelligence agent who acts as bodyguard to British scientist Professor Harold Whitaker during his visit to the United States.
However, after Whitaker is shot by a KAOS assassin posing as Whitaker's neice Cynthia it is revealed that Chain is actually the scientist and Whitaker the agent.
