Connie-floyd

Connie and Floyd in a scene from one of their personal films.

Notorious bank-robbing team of the 1930s who bear a remarkable resemblance to CONTROL agents Maxwell Smart and 99.

Connie Barker (daughter of a carney barker) and Floyd Darrow (who turned to crime because he couldn't do anything else) robbed banks in seven states, eluding capture by the police and eventually teaming up with Sam Vittorio - the biggest bank-robber of them all and Floyd's boyhood hero.

By 1968, Connie and Floyd have been in jail for 30 years and Vittorio is dying. He makes arrangements for Connie and Floyd to break out - it is believed that he intends to tell them the secret of where he hid his money - but Max and 99 take their places so that KAOS cannot learn the secret first.

However, the real Connie and Floyd escape and show up just after Vittorio discovers that Max and 99 are impostors and, amid a confusion of identities, all three gangsters are killed in a shoot-out.

Portrayed by Barbara Feldon and Don Adams (both uncredited) [Episode #90: "The Secret of Sam Vittorio"].

Reality Check: Connie and Floyd are parodies of 1930s bank-robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, especially as they are depicted in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.
